\AMC Global is excited to participate in the CMA | SIMA 2025 Annual Conference, set for February 16-19, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. At the conference The Association of Retail and Consumer Professionals (ARC) brings together the Category Management Association (CMA) and the Shopper Insights Management Association (SIMA). As the retail landscape evolves, this event brings together industry leaders to explore the latest insights and innovations in category management, shopper insights, and space planning. This year’s theme is “The Retail Balancing Act: The Intersection of the Shopper, Economic Climate, and Innovation.” We look forward to joining professionals from across the sector to share expertise, discuss emerging trends, and contribute to impactful conversations shaping the future of retail.
It looks like there will be chances to network and mingle throughout the event, as well as explore San Antonio! From the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening to the cocktail networking reception on Monday to a late night party on Tuesday. The conference is also providing access to the famous San Antonio River Walk to make it easy to check out the local area.
We are also looking forward to the conference content and checking out the learning tracks at the conference designed to tackle the most pressing issues in category management and shopper insights today. From exploring innovative space planning and merchandising strategies in “Innovative Ideas for Omni-Store Excellence” to mastering the use of AI and data science in “How to Win in a Data-Driven Environment,” there are sessions for everyone. Other tracks focus on understanding evolving shopper behavior, personalizing the shopping experience, and future-proofing careers in times of rapid change—all designed to offer actionable insights and strategies to thrive in an ever-evolving retail landscape.
Keynotes will kick off each day—and that’s where we come in! Erin Russeck, Chief Research Officer here at AMC Global, will be part of a panel of industry experts presenting “From Cart to Counter: Enhancing the Front End Experience” on the Main Stage Tuesday, February 18th. Joining Erin will be Amy Ballou from The Coca-Cola Company; Ryan Sexton from PepsiCo; Mindy Asper from Impulse Marketing; and Kathy Rietschel from The Association of Retail and Consumer Professionals (ARC). We will be discussing groundbreaking primary research on the Front End experience across grocery, mass, and dollar channels that AMC Global, Impulse and ARC conducted with support from sponsors Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and the National Confectioners Association. If you are at the conference, don’t miss this chance to explore key findings on shopper behavior, preferences, and channel comparisons!
If you’re unable to attend the conference, we’d still love to catch up with you about the valuable insights uncovered from the research. Reach out!
